"Well" said Ben, "It be a special job Captain said and it be all hush hush like, but he'll be explainin' all when we gets aboard".
The jolly boat slipped through the calm water; just the slightest sound from the oars.  The sun nearly down, all quiet, as they neared the ship.
"Breeze comin up" said Tappin' John.
"Squawk!" said Sawn - off's parrot Mr Scurvy.  Mr Scurvy had been with "Sawn - Off" for about 4 years now, and had never left his shoulder in that time.
"Humph, scurvy parrot." said Tappin' John.
Sawn- Off said nothing, having a great deal of respect for Tappin' John.  As they approached the starboard bow of the ship, they commented on the good disguise of one of the most notorious pirate ships afloat.
Captain Blackbeard's famous ship the "Queen Anne's Revenge".

Supposedly she was loading up for a voyage to Madagascar, off the east coast of Southern Africa, to bring back a cargo of exotic spices.
Captain Blackbeard, the most feared pirate afloat had been ashore in the small town, but was not recognised because he had shaved off his large black beard and dressed as a merchant.  The crew thought it a good disguise for secrecy reasons , but laughed quietly behind their hands as they had never seen old Blackie without his beard before.  Of course if he'd have heard them a laughin' and smirkin' he'd have hung 'em from the yardarm, so they kept their laughin' quiet like for the fear of their necks.  It didn't do to get the wrong side of Captain Blackbeard......
